    @alice I like using Tut, which is terminal based mastodon that shows me alt text. I also have automatic image loading turned off in Moshidon. Alt text is nice for me too.

            @nieuemma @alice Similarly, on my phone I use Tusky. I have it configured to not automatically load images while on data, because with my phone plan I pay per-MB. So I read the alt text to see if I want to load an image. If there's no alt text, I just skip over the toot.
