man, I am pissed. I thought I had something like six garlic plants growing in a pot.
I just noticed the little bit of green left over in the stalks was finally mostly gone and said "huh, I should check these" and pulled one up out of the ground. Rotten, soft, and very dead.
No home grown garlic for me this year

Dispose of the remnants and the soil in the trash. You might have black allium rot. If you dump the soil in your yard or compost heap, you'll just spread the spores.
