    I've finally finished putting these together! They were really easy to make, but they did take me an awful lot longer than I thought they would. Perhaps because I've never crocheted with 4 ply before, or because I forget that sewing pieces together after you finish crocheting also takes time...

            @KateMinervaHarris back in the day (1960s) we called them "cootie catchers". They were made of folded paper (done during a boring class at school), embellished with catchy sayings. Such fun to see them 3D, crocheted in cheerful colors!
