            @campuscodi I mean if they did that and left the kernel alone, but sadly the kernel is also getting the AI treatment... https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/e12330b9-c29e-45ca-9375-9e3d13426d85@horse64.org/T/

              @campuscodi “AI agents are quickly becoming the connective tissue of the modern internet” said Jim Zemlin, CEO at the Linux Foundation

              I think the Linux Foundation has truly lost the plot

                @campuscodi uuuuuh ... it's not like things don't already go wrong with DNS during the best of days.

                  @campuscodi Giving it a cursory read, it should hopefully at least not cause issues for existing uses of DNS. https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-mozleywilliams-dnsop-dnsaid/

                    @ell1e @campuscodi

                    Yeah, AI should have its own separate DNS with zero connectivity to other DNS. In fact, let's ratchet their internet speeds down to 300 baud. #dialupforai

                      @campuscodi interesting, I wonder how many people actually read this before going "OMG, this is the end of DNS".
