      @ricci where i'm from, they use DDMMYY. i'm going to say that the only correct answer is YYYY-MM-DD. nobody misinterprets that ever.

            @ricci Rob there is one true date format and it is ISO 8601, both of these things you mention are abominations.

            Have you considered writing a calendaring solution?

                      @dysfun @ricci either we use utc everywhere or we extend time zones with calendar zones such that July is always summer.
