    Just fucking use HTML

    Stop reinventing the wheel. The web was doing just fine before your bloated frameworks crawled out of the sewer.

      @sparklepanic ... not that it detracts(much) from the point, but the number of "no bullshit just use plain HTML, your CSS is bloat" websites that has analytics JS on it is really funny

      me when CSS to make the site not look like ass is bloat but two independent forms of telemetry(cloudflare and self-hosted) is mandatory

        @sparklepanic didn't love the bit about ditching JS frameworks because LLMs exist… that whole bit including praise for Sam Altman/Open AI is so bizarre! Especially coming from someone trying to make a point about removing unnecessary bloat 😅 and gthe fact that this is thrice as long as the original website that inspired this was, was also kinda funny to me

          @sparklepanic who wrote this beauty?
          I am going to take the big step and retrace web programming starting from #perl cgi.bin in the summer and my prework kind of aligns with this excellent, justified rant
