I'm still not sure how to post this, because it all happened out of nowhere.
My son and daughter were walking back from Cubbies this arvo with some friends and my son comes running up "Terabyte has something to say to you". Ok, cool.
They all eventually get here and my daughter says "I'm a lesbian and this is my girlfriend". My only response was "cool. Good for you".
Up until recently it was all boys, and she was pretty sure she was straight, but puberty hits and all bets are off.
Her mum was a bit different. She came to pick them up and straight up called her out on her boy love, then not so subtly tried to hint at our daughter having a bisexual father.
I might need to have a word to her mum, because I know there's no playing it like that right now. Almost 12 and exploring her sexuality, shits gonna get crazy.
I'm just glad she felt comfortable enough to explore these feelings, name it, and be excitedly open with dad

@jpm yep, every day they reaffirm that

@trib I try. They've had to adapt to being city kids pretty quickly, which is a testament to them
