I don't understand the Iran war by the US, I'm guessing I'm just ignorant.

As far as I can see they've assassinated the leader of Iran and his whole family, except his son, then got his very angry son elected as leader... then declared victory and said it's over?

@GossiTheDog I don't think they give a fuck who the leader of Iran is.

What they do give a fuck about is keeping the #EpsteinFiles out of the news cycle, which they have done a pretty good job of.

As a bonus, they've caused massive swings in the oil price market, and if you happened to know in advance which way the market was going to move you could make a lot of money out of buying and selling at the right time.

Much like the stunt they pulled with the tariffs.

@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social You missed the bombing of elementary schools, hospitals, and cultural sites but other than that I think you've got it.

@GossiTheDog Looks like he forgot to inform the minions of this victory?

"Hegseth says today will be the ‘most intense day of strikes’ in war against Iran"

"The US defence secretary says the military is increasing attacks on the regime"

"Pete Hegseth warns of ‘most intense’ day of US strikes on Iran yet"

@GossiTheDog My prediction from Saturday was a spontaneous US withdrawal for stock market insider trading purposes. Do something stupid to crash the market, buy discounted stocks, move on to the next scam

Monstrously callous and inhuman, of course

@GossiTheDog You're trying to rationalise the irrational.

But, the #iran war almost feels like it's more about a "pump and dump" scheme for the rich to quickly and massively profit from oil investments, than it is about regime change.

@GossiTheDog If they can wreck the stock market then they can promote meme coins and rugpull more money out of everyone.

Countries can bribe Trump to stop causing Iran to bomb them. Then Trump can add another war/peace participation trophy to his wall.

Saudi Arabia sure paid the Trump empire a lot for something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Next up is decap and occupy Cuba, which then will look like de-escalation and home-court scuffle. That’s a personal favor to Rubio, their best boy.

@GossiTheDog Trump was suckered into fighting Netanyahu's war for the Middle East

now its damaging the US economy (read: the rich) so he wants out

but Trump doesn't want to appear subordinate to Israel OR to have turned against them

if he can't find a way out, some achievement to cling to as the goal all along, he'll have to double down

obviously most people are not driven by trying to prove themselves a big man and consider admitting mistakes and being humble to be a virtue

                    Trump isn't most people

Trump has started a war he doesn't want to fight. He wanted the Iranian people to fight it for him, and when that didn't happen he expected the Kurds to step up.

I don't understand the Iran war by the US, I'm guessing I'm just ignorant.

As far as I can see they've assassinated the leader of Iran and his whole family, except his son, then got his very angry son elected as leader... then declared victory and said it's over?

@GossiTheDog If you think you don't understand it, then you understand it.
