Is anyone else get a lot of worrisome prompts about websites trying to access local network?

Why do I have to individually block each site trying to do this? Why isn't blocked by default? Is there an actual use to this that can't be allowlisted?

@dacmot I believe it’s a relatively new function. And you can block it.

“Users can control these permissions under Settings > Privacy & Security > Permissions. The browser also implements Local Network Access (LNA) standards, categorizing requests into Public, Local, or Loopback.”

Specifically, navigate to ‘about:preferences#privacy’ and scroll to "Permissions" to manage "Local network devices" access, which is often needed for routers, printers, or local development servers.
