Lot of good points on proactive measures you could take.
I've found extremely hard to pass zero trust, least privilege and proactive measures through the business.
Most companies don't have good cyber security practices but are very happy to spend money on snake oil and call it a day. -

Most companies don't have good cyber security practices but are very happy to spend money on snake oil and call it a day.I've seen with my own eyes that the SOC caught xyz activity by pure luck but because the logs came from a tool which was just purchased the CISO immediately credited it to the tool.
In reality it had nothing to do with it. -
