During the interview, Araghchi stated that the US and Iran had nearly reached an agreement regarding Iran's nuclear program on Thursday.

The foreign minister also added that he has been in touch with neighbouring countries following Iran's retaliation strikes on American bases in the region.

      Albusaidi said to CBS:

      • A “peace deal is within our reach.”

      • Iran has agreed it will “never, ever” possess nuclear material capable of producing a bomb.

Existing enriched uranium stockpiles would be:

      • Blended down to the lowest possible level.

      • Converted into fuel in a way that would be irreversible.

      • There would be “zero accumulation, zero stockpiling, and full verification.”

      • Iran is prepared to grant the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) full access to nuclear sites.

He is “quite confident” that even US inspectors could eventually gain access under a fair and durable agreement.

More time is needed to finalize technical details, with talks scheduled in Vienna on Monday.

However, US President Donald Trump struck a more skeptical tone, saying he is “not happy” with the pace of negotiations and has not yet decided whether to authorize military strikes. He said Iran is “not willing to give us what we have to have,” adding, “We’ll see what happens.”

Iran unleashed a furious missile and drone assault across the Arabian Gulf on Saturday in response to a surprise US-Israeli attack, but one city in particular appeared to bear the brunt of it: Dubai.

The Gulf emirate, one of seven in the UAE, is the region’s good-time capital, where lucrative business deals can be sealed and celebrated. On Saturday, it was engulfed in billowing smoke and flames as missiles and drones rained down on it.

The strikes have more than just geopolitical significance, denting Dubai's reputation for being an oasis of calm and commerce in the Middle East.

            ........

Capitalising on its low tax rate and smooth bureaucracy, Dubai has become a magnet for London bankers and American “finance bros." Its financial institutions have served as a haven for Sudanese militia leaders dealing in gold to Russian and Ukrainian expats fleeing war in Eastern Europe.

🤡 Persian Gulf states condemned Iranian missile strikes targeting US bases on their territory in retaliation for the US-Israeli “pre-emptive” assault on Iran, calling them violations of sovereignty. 🤡

                  @foufoutos

What is the point of a US base on your soil if it isn't there to protect you.

At any sign of trouble, the bases are evacuated.

They are there to attack Iran and defend Israel.

Those Arab gulf states have been exposed as fools.
