The new war has me thinking. The second Iraq War feels like yesterday to me and the first Iraq War is still sufficiently vivid. The starkest reminder of the passage of time is the realization that a lot of people either weren't alive for the last Iraq War or weren't old enough to process what was going on. I was 7 when the Berlin Wall came down but have no memory of it even though I remember a lot of other things from a younger age than that.

@pervognsen I don’t specifically remember the Berlin Wall falling, but I remember a lot of the feelings from the era’s music. Like, Winds of Change from the Scorpions has a lot of vibes from that time that I know was part of what was happening in the world
