I am so disheartened about AI.

On here, a lot of the tech and creative people I follow are dead against it and for good reason, and I find it really refreshing to talk to people who share this viewpoint.

But as I am job searching it just seems to be utterly pervasive. So many roles advertising access to CoPilot or Claude and to use 'AI responsibly' in their code base.

Every PR needs to be reviewed and every line of code that is a written is a line of code that has to be maintained.

What I would love to see is the companies who are also pushing back against AI, people at the top who see the flaws and problems. They must exist surely?

@lukeharby same here. My bar has already been lowered to “I hope I find an employer who won’t force it on me even if all my coworkers use it”, and really hoping I don’t need to actually start using it.
