I'm looking for a programmer (EPROMS etc). I have a TL866II already, but it requires a Windows software. It runs via Wine on Linux, but not very well.

It would be great if it has at least the features of the TL866, more are preferred. It doesn't have to have a gui, cli is fine. It's also ok to assemble something, doesn't have to be an off the shelf device.

Any ideas or recommendations?

@xabean AFAIK it is for updating and maintaining the TL866 itself, not for programming EPROMs etc.

I have a T48 and can confirm that minipro works for me on #FreeBSD

@justine @xabean The TL866 works with minipro under FreeBSD, but it seems to have trouble to recognize and test certain ICs. Since I am mostly using it for programming EPROMS it's not that big of an issue for me. The additional features will be implemented some day, I hope.
