I wouldn't trust Meta even with E2EE
Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing.
But it's a company that actively collect all your info.
It's closed source and they still have meta data

@dansup Looking forward to mandatory E2EE for DMs on upcoming sup, on pixelfed and loops E2EE should be optional for the DMs to ensure DMs work with other platforms like mastodon and misskey.

@dansup Such as shame. Why do we need messages on Instagram in the first place? Like use Messenger or something. And it's their own messaging app ffs. Now, I am switching to RSS. Fuck Meta
