In Australia, the "Liberal Party" are definitely a right-wing party

Kind of similar: The Jimintō (自由民主党) is called the "Liberal Democratic Party" (LDP) in Anglophone media. They have ruled Japan my entire life and have only ever been right wing.
But "liberal" doesn't match any words in the party's actual name. Go figure.
