@Natasha_Jay I hate to be the harpy but try to discourage your dogs from fetching sticks. There are balls, antlers and all manner of toys that are more suitable - some even clean plaque from their teeth. Wood contains splinters that can cause injury and death, some woods are toxic; black walnut, cherry, yew, red maple or are treated with noxious chemicals that harm the dog over time, even marketed 'low splinter' woods fray over time, just don't.
