The good news: this hospital does at-home sleep studies! They just wire you up with portable equipment and send you home

The bad news: an hour on public transportation looking like I’m wired to blow

@0xabad1dea I only had one (air) hose up my nose for the airbag they stuffed in my head. Your cyborg starter kit is WAY more impressive! (Hope they get the data they are needing quickly!)

by the way, the (genuinely very) nice ladies who taped me up assured me that there's no need to worry; the sensor taped to my throat that drew waveforms on their computer when I spoke wasn't recording my *voice*!, only *vibrations*

@shadowwwind @0xabad1dea Yeah, best be careful when signing into things while you're wearing it (like, if you unconsciously subvocalize passwords as you type them 🙂 )

@0xabad1dea My daughter had to do a 24-hour EEG once, it was...very Borg like.

@0xabad1dea @briankrebs I've done at home sleep studies. I put on everything myself at home. The portable equipment has improved a lot in the past 2 years.

Abadidea, was there something special about your study that required them to wire you up in the hospital. I hope that people made sure you got a seat on mass transit.
