Every year on my ex-boss' birthday, several people who believed they were being original would buy him a bottle of scotch that matched his age

I was with him in 2016 when he opened the bottle of 1968 Springbank and I drank most of it with him. It cost $4000, couriered over from Scotland. It was... fine. Not much better than the Springbank 18 that we usually drank

What befuddles me most is, "Who the fuck is buying $27k scotch at Costco?"
