[1/2] When the Golden Dawn assigned planets and signs to the Major Arcana, they gave the Moon to The High Priestess and Pisces to The Moon. I don’t pretend to know exactly what their thought processes looked like, and, you know, gnosis is gnosis (mostly) (but I’m not the Gnosis Police). But I think it’s a useful exercise to think about flipping these cards’ rulerships and letting that expand our symbolic understanding of the cards and their commonly associated signs and planets.

[2/2] If we do, we allow the Moon — and by extension, Cancer — to be a lot more feral, and maybe even a little nightmarish. We give Pisces more philosophical agency appropriate to their traditional rulership of Jupiter.

n.b. 1: this is not an invitation to Cancer slander
n.b. 2: do not bring up Neptune I don’t even know who he is
