More evidence of the impact of budgetary pressures & poor workforce planning in the NHS on the health of patients.

Advanced practitioners (mostly nurses) are a valuable & important element of the health service but thrusting them into situations for which their training & skills may be insufficient via 'doctor substitution' is dangerous for patients & also abusive of those staff expected to 'act up' into doctors' roles.

This is not a good way to proceed!

@ChrisMayLA6 And are the cleaning staff expected to ‘act up’ to backfill the nurses who are backfilling the doctors?
