    These recalls are particularly unnerving. How many people are going to see this alert?

    Bajaria Global Pty Ltd T/a The Spice Merchants are conducting a recall of the above product. The product has been available for sale in independent retail stores in WA.

    Date Marking: Jul 2028

    Batch Number: FI-08-25
    Problem:
    The presence of a viral (Hepatitis A) contamination.

    Food safety hazard:
    Food products contaminated with Hepatitis A virus may cause illness if consumed.

      @PhilWill A few years ago, while I was merrily consuming loads of frozen raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries bought from Woolworths, an alert appeared for Hepatitis-contaminated product. I'd never taken much notice that the bloody things were coming from China. They got contaminated from being washed in dirty water. Just great! Now they all seem to come from Chile. Apparently we can't manage grow berries in Australia or figure out how to freeze them.

      It still amazes me how much food comes from China, of all places. Almost all the frozen fish in supermarts is from China.
