@kimlockhartga Or murders of random people in boats, or blockading the Strait of Hormuz, or, who knows what else we don't even know about. OR, considering he was chosen as a Republican political appointee and so was likely on board with A LOT, maybe he is just trying to protect himself from a future prison sentence.

@Nonya_Bidniss It is odd. Like you say, he's not even a military guy. Can't see him being a problem with pushback. Gotta be some story, though.
