Removed the zippers from the 1993-era North Face jacket which I am replacing with my own-sewn jacket. Now, the question, is polyester of that era (with holes) going to last enough to be reused for something else? 🤔

(rotting plastic not a great thing)

@ai6yr How does the ‘coating’ on the inside of the fabric look? I had a 90s era North Face jacket hold up a long time, until it got so worn on the underside of the shoulders from friction that it wasn’t able to keep out moisture anymore. (Fortunately I was just in my own driveway when I figured out what was wrong!)
