I'm back on my bullshit.

I'm back on my bullshit. The Bad Bunny halftime show was Important, and I don't think there's any way to dimmish it. To advocate for Puerto Rican independence, to bring attention to the 6 months PR went without power with no help from the US federal government, to celebrate the entire Latine diaspora at a time when we are in the middle of a genocide, to call out the damage US colonialism has done to Hawaii and warn how it is happening now to PR. To do all of this on the biggest performance stage of the year, and to cap it off with "The only thing more powerful than hate is love". This is a movement and a message based, not on hating an opponent or other group, but in loving ourselves and those around us. Calling on those of us who are not Puerto Rican to show love by supporting the end of US colonialism on the island and Puerto Rican independence. Showing love by standing up to those who would do our neighbors harm. Showing love by loving ourselves, our culture, and our languages.

@itzyg I haven't heard much about PR politics recently. Do you happen to know whether it's the fash or the left that's pushing for statehood/independence/status quo? Or is that just kinda its own axis independent of left vs right?
