I like to think about how common it is to see wild animals in different parts of the world. Personally, I see these animals on about a weekly basis

we saw a crane flying very low, and my husband commented that it’s big but surely it’s nothing compared to the eagles where I’m from, and I had to break it to him that bald eagles are quite rare (almost went extinct, though apparently that’s on the mend) and I had seen precisely zero of them in thirty years in the US
