People are allowed to use the Fediverse differently than you do.

No, your preferences are not norms or mores.

Not every post is about you. (Almost none of them are, in fact.)

Not every piece of advice has to be relevant to you to be valuable.

    Nobody owes you a hashtag.

People can post pictures of things you find uninteresting or distasteful. (Yes, they should use alt text.)

People are allowed to post their work.

People are allowed to *promote* their work.

People are allowed to ask for help, including monetary help.

There is more than one thing going on in the world right now.

There is more than one way to help.

That joke is not about politics and doesn't benefit from your reply trying to make it about Trump.

That woman wasn't asking a question.

And yes, she gets her own joke without you explaining it to her.

    Linux is *sometimes* the answer.

@maxleibman I keep seeing this reposted. It was written in response to banning people for being mentally ill. A large amount of Fedi is yelling at people because they are sick and need help.

"Are you a fucking psycho, you need meds wtf"

        "Yeah I do..."

        "FUCK YOU BLOCKED"

@maxleibman For 1,344 nights straight, without missing a night, I have posted at 9PM one hashtag game on the fedi and both @HashTagGames and my account still frequently get reported for nonsense reasons because of that one nightly post that people play.

People come together and play and 99.9999999 of the players use a universal hashtag so that non players, or people who are annoyed at them, can filter them out of their timelines.

What seems to get under peoples goats the most is, they trend across most instances.

            @maxleibman All these are true.

And: your liberty to use the Fedi the way you want to imposes no requirement for others to accept it.

            You may be trolled.

            You may be yelled at.

            You may be blocked.

None of these prevent you from doing the same. Yay!
