    Started Seth Long’s “The Last Mixtape” last night & it’s off to a good start. He’s using music curation (making your own mixtapes) as the lens to talk about other evolving technologies. Mixtapes were a huge part of my life & I’m curious to see where Long goes with it, as he says: “I’m writing for those who are curious about the relationship between technological turnover and generation cycles of nostalgia.” and “All technology is stamped with a sell-by date.” #books #bookstodon

        @ethanOS I do! I’m actually on my 3rd notebook. I found that hand writing (at least once) helps with recall & I enjoy the analog, but I’ve moved one whole notebook into a spreadsheet as I want to be able to categorize and search. So everything will be digital eventually. Do you keep one as well?

          @tsutrav I do, but I got burnt out of my field notes/cluttering up my journal. So I'm building a digital one with the intent of making a public book that people can find new reads/watches. It's kind of my favorite way I can anti-doomscroll with.
