weird how no one talks about crypto as a medium of exchange anymore.

also weird that no one talks about investing in virtual property in the metaverse.

perhaps on a related note, what ever happened with AGI??? πŸ‘€

@jkb @peter They are still sitting in front printed out copies of their ape NFTs, meditating concepts of fungibilty, uniqueness and ownership.

@peter Anecdotal evidence: I know someone who made fun of me for not joining in their crypto venture and therefore missing on the riches.

Of course after a very short and very limited hype the token price fell to oblivion, every "investor" feels scammed and no one managed to get rich in the process. So now he's running around telling anyone who'd listen just how fundamental GenAI is and why we should absolutely follow his advice otherwise we'd be left behind and miss on the riches.

@jkb haha they've been trying that one for awhile now, lfg! went to a talk about it at Mozilla Festival. saw someone somewhere compare it to perpetual motion machines, and it definitely has that vibe.
