    When it comes to consumer protection, no region in the world does it better than Europe. 🇪🇺

    On #WorldConsumerRightsDay, it’s worth remembering: more than 50 years of advocacy don’t just sit in policy papers — they show up in your daily life: in fair transactions, safe products, and transparent contracts.

    Let’s keep working to make it even stronger!

      @EUCommission TOTAL BULLSHIT

      I had to FORCE Tesco and Lidl to allow me to use their loyalty cards for having the absolute gall to be from another EU state.

      Phone companies insist on registration documents to sell you a SIM card.

      Being refused service because of nationality is a risk and I was refused car hire in Latvia because I "didn't have a Baltic licence" the company scammed 2m Euro from the EU and then blocked non Baltic consumers.

      10/10 for self belief but 0/10 for enforcement

        @Ilka4You @EUCommission Correct and they allow other countries to screw their people. What I mean is that in New England they closed off fishing waters for American fishermen, however, made special deals with Chinese & Russian factory ships to dredge those restricted areas. Then you have the farmers who get screwed by lawyers and can't sell their own things because government has deal to import instead. Then the whole foreign bank schemes. Also all the Russian data brokers selling personal information. The list just goes on.

          @EUCommission In theory, the reality sadly looks different.

          I'm from Germany.

            @x41h agreed, the most disturbing of all things is the personal individual and complete data of all USamerican citizens being transferred by DOGE to RUS. It is mind boggling the usamerican ppl just shrug that off like "another day in USA where we put pedophiles in charge". @EUCommission

              @Ilka4You @EUCommission Because America is corrupt AF and I can't wait to leave this country. Place has already turned into a desolate wasteland. Looks like a third world country. The military, politicians, judicial systems, policies, healthcare, every federal agency all of it has crumbled.

              I don't even use my real name on anything anymore. If there is an address field then they are getting something from 10 years ago. There is no trust in this government or media. Everything in and coming out of this country is a lie.

              I hope EU plays their cards right against US and hold their diplomatic relations. Russia can't be trusted and we know they are controlling US right now with their influence.

                    @Ilka4You @EUCommission At one point in my life I did hold a belief that God blessed this nation to be a beacon and light for all other nations but not sure if I was just young and naive or brainwashed through public education system. Regardless, being older one can make up their own mind that it's no different than any other empire that collapses under its own weight. This is the path and way it will be now until whatever happens next.

                      @Kovach @EUCommission @Ilka4You kinda like it was all part of the plan right? Because every military expert in US history never wanted to attack Iran knowing they would close down the waterway. So Trump definitely planned for this outcome.

                      He is indebted to Putin after they bankrolled him out of bankruptcy. Sadly this fool is the President of the United States.

                          @x41h @EUCommission @Ilka4You iran is an ally of russia, and it was strange to hear about them attacking their own oil tankers, followed by the lifting of sanctions against the russian federation.

                              @Kovach @EUCommission @Ilka4You Yes. Not sure if you know. Trump went completely bankrupt with his failed casinos and other ventures. When reading previous reports the Czech police warned the US that his first wife, Ivana, Ivankas mother was a Russian asset sent to target Trump. When his business dealings failed it was the Russians who helped him get out of his financial troubles with the whole Trump Tower in Moscow deal and allowing Russian organized crime figures to live in his Trump Tower in NYC to launder money. His past with Russia goes a long time back.
