@NefariousAryq I went to clean people laundry sheets. No plastic bottles. They have unscented. Also they have other laundry supplies like wool dryer balls I use instead of dryer sheets. I've been happy with them but have to order online. I'm surprised main laundry detergent companys haven't developed detergent sheets.
@Bikevisionary I will check these out! Thank you! 🫶

@NefariousAryq @Bikevisionary arm & hammer makes the sheets, but whether your local grocery store will have them in fragrance free is another question

The latest bottle of ‘Tide Free & Gentle’ (unscented) detergent we purchased very clearly has a scent. I thought I was losing my mind but I see numerous recent reviews at different retailers stating the exact same thing. What the actual hell? Why does everything have to be enshittified, even freakin’ laundry detergent?! We’ve used this detergent for years, but never again. Going to have to re-wash my two loads of laundry I did today too after I go pick up some ‘All Free & Clear’.

@NefariousAryq That is annoying... EXTREMELY ANNOYING

I read that the laundry sheets have the same plastic that is in the pods, if you care about that.
We use Tide free & gentle powder, just opened a new box, no fragrance, but thanks for the heads up.

@ai6yr It's — excuse my language — fucking obnoxious. I can't even handle the clothing that has been washed in this latest bottle of Tide 'free & gentle' without having an allergic reaction, let alone actually WEAR the clothing.
We've used both Tide Free & Gentle and All Free & Clear for years without issue... but I'll never purchase another Tide product again as long as I live after this.

@MCDuncanLab @SRLevine @Bikevisionary I haven't seen any reviews on the powder product that indicate they've changed that formula/people are having reactions, but definitely something to keep an eye on. I know I'll never purchase another Tide product again after this, that's for sure.

@NefariousAryq Gah. I hate that. Dawn dish detergent did that recently too, horrible. They increased the perfume in the detergent by a magnitude, and it's a different smell. WHY would you do that?!?!

@ai6yr @NefariousAryq
All those new scented Dawn varieties are terrible.There’s a new unscented Dawn that’s been okay for me.
Maybe return the Tide? There can be mistakes during manufacturing. I’m still working through my stock and very much hope it’s not coming for me, too.

@ai6yr @NefariousAryq Especially b/c they are The REspected Brand.

@sollat @ai6yr We went through this with our dishwasher detergent, too, not too long ago. We always used to use a specific variety of Finish — and after the change we tried every single one and they're all horribly scented now. Tons of reviews of this, people hate it. I don't understand this fascination with adding massive amounts of horrible scents to EVERYTHING. F*cking obnoxious, again.

@NefariousAryq @SRLevine @Bikevisionary
Tide is the only scentless powder I can find around here that I like. I tried the simply soap or something that comes in the green box, but it doesn’t have enzymes.
After a few washes, the laundry wasn’t seeming to get clean.

@NefariousAryq Oh, I'm so sorry!
We use All Free & Clear and I really hope they don't mess up that formula!

@NefariousAryq @sollat I'm pretty sure this is a result of COVID-19 and people losing their sense of smell. So many consumer complaints about "your product doesn't smell good anymore" and what really has happened is a significant portion of the population lost their sense of smell due to COVID-19 after effects.

Oh god, we tried finish. It stinks so much. We use old fashioned Cascade powder, much better scent wise.
-
@NefariousAryq @sollat Yes, I can follow people's scent down a street 20 minutes after they have passed. So much perfume or cologne because they lost their sense of smell.

@ahimsa_pdx All Free & Clear has been our other go-to, and it works great without any scent or allergens. Hopefully it stays that way!

@MCDuncanLab @sollat @ai6yr Yep, we went to a basic powder now and it's Fine(c)[tm]. So frustrating having to play these games, though!
