I just wrote this sentence in a document where I needed to establish credibility, and I keep giggling about it

"I am an astronomy professor, and thanks to Saskatchewan's beautifully dark skies and a couple of very unfortunately placed SpaceX reentries, I am now an internationally recognized expert on space debris and pollution from satellites."

Some are born to greatness. Some have it hurled at them from outer space. 😊

I’m wishing you could have worked in a reference to goats, it could only be MORE giggle-inducing as a book-jacket bio.

          @sundogplanets

we need you as a leader in an organisation like

          Global
          Orbit
          Atmospheric
          Tracking
          System

          or

          Ground
          Object
          Assessment of
          Terrestrial
          Safety

          or

          Guardians
          Of
          Amercing
          Trash in
          Space

          or

          Generating
          Operational
          Alerts for
          Tumbling
          Satellites

          😀

you are really one of the few scientist voices who make very clear that there's flying more and more bullshit in LEOs around
