I believe the censorship campaign is about preventing teens from learning about things that led the to protest against the government, like global warming, the existence of LGBT people, and the treatment of Palestinians

@alienghic @thomasfuchs Or about their bodies, gay and trans folk...things they can't ask their parent about for whatever reason. They want to cut off gay and trans kids. If they cared about the kids, they would make sure schools taught media literacy from early ages up through graduating high school, but tech bros and data miners would not like an informed public.

@thomasfuchs It's not performative, and censoring what kids can see is only part of it. The long-term goal is have all activities on the net tied to you as a person, ideally in a legally-enforceable way.

"Performative" means "pretending to be good and virtuous but not doing the actual work" (or in this case actually having sinister ulterior motives).

The rich and powerful that pull the strings in this world see themselves as the "cognitive elite". They are deep into eugenics. That's why Elon Musk has so many children. These people want all of the future people to come from their seed, to create a superior race. They truly think of themselves as more intelligent than us, and of the fact that they managed to become billionaires and we didn't, as proof of their superior intellect.
They know they need us regular folks for labor, as slaves, so they can't kill all of us. But they are making sure that they will at least be able to control every last aspect of our lives. Including making sure that we, the non-billionaires and thus "stupid" people don't breed, to not cross their eugenicist plans.
The rich and powerful really are that deranged, as bizarre und unbelievable as all of that sounds.

@thomasfuchs I suspect that those loaded with wealth often create a sense of entitlement that is coupled with the seeking of ever more 'thrilling' novelty ... children for sexual gratification of men seems to fit that bill. A most sinister form of brutal evil.
