    The parallels between the AI bubble and the California Gold Rush are almost at parity. Except for the gold itself continuing to exist and have continued value.

    History is quick to note that the first people to really profit from the gold rush were the people selling supplies and access to land.

      I guess you could say that the AI that remains after the collapse is the gold. Everything else was just money dumped into supplies (resources, GPUs) and land access (data centers, hyper scalars, tokens). And the little people will be the ones who suffer loss the most. The C-suites have made their personal nut and will walk away wealthy, no matter how poorly their ventures fare.
