      If I was still teaching I would 100% have implemented a policy of asking a portion of my students on each assignment to orally defend their work; the students would be selected based on those whose work triggers any sort of AI detection (both automated and my own gut suspensions) combined with a random number (to keep it equitable and minimise favouritism)

      The only reason I wouldn't be having every student orally defend every assignment is because of the time constraints of large class sizes.
