1. It's a lie that all Jews are Israeli citizens or are in the IDF;
2. Most of us don't know anyone in the Israeli government; and

It's fucking exhausting looking at somebody and thinking we're on the same side and then realizing *nope* they've got a very different reason for not liking Netanyahu and Karp than I do.

When i looked this was the only question they've ever asked, and their other comment looked like it was celebrating oil and coal in a post about the climate. (I could be mistaken about intent but it's a weird looking combo from here)
I don't trust that their question was asked in good faith and they seem to be doing the "all Jewish people are from Israel" thing, so yeah, i blocked.
Maybe there's a curious and good person behind that question and I'm very wrong here, but i mostly doubt it -

There are shitty people in every community, and that includes ours.@theleftistlawyer Not all Jews are Zionists, and not all Zionists are Jews; in fact most Zionists are Evangelical Christians that turn a blind eye (at best) to Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing because they think it will fulfill prophecies leading to the destruction of Israel and the end of the world. A match made in Hell; I'd say they deserve each other if it weren't for all the innocent people getting killed.

JFNA survey (2026) found 37% US Jews IDed as zionist; 8% as non-zionist; 7% as anti-zionist, and 48% as none of the above. 88% support Israel's right to exist (the original definition of "zionism").
It seems the discomfort of US jews with "zionism" today is rooted in opposition to Netinyahu/Likud's violent and expansionist re-expression of "zionism", rather than abandoning OG zionism itself.
