@vantablack Toyota? The vehicle manufacturer who had issues with the throttle getting stuck?

      I'll pass.

        called hitchless towing
picture clearly depicts a hitch on the front of the trailer, connecting it to the wireless tow vehicle
my god, it’s just hitch towing with extra steps

@vantablack even if this becomes real and works perfectly... Ive spent too many hours hooking up trailers to let that skill go to waste. Hitch and chains 4 life.

@vantablack in a more practical criticism: Isn't the whole point of towing for the towed vehicle to not need to move under its own power, relying on the towing vehicle's power instead?

@vantablack Makes me think of Star Trek Discovery series, where the engines of spaceships are no longer connected to the ship they are moving

@ava @vantablack oh, the original problem still exists, but you’ve added several more problems—some of them un-fucking-solved?! Look, I suck at backing up with a trailer too, but what is this solving?

                        1. People need to get off the drugs. This is the stupidest idea I've ever--not going to finish that thought, lest it invite stupider ideas.

                        2. Looks like this hasn't progressed in the last year or so. Thankfully.
