Bought a Simsonn H shifter for #simracing
Tested it and it works.
Spend hours remixing and printing out a mount for it and as soon as I get it mounted the shifter is dead.
Let’s see if I can get this thing refunded.

Got a full refund without a return.
Time to disassemble and see if I can revive this shifter or if I need to order something else… #simracing

@amd wow, that's impressive customer service. Hope you can revive it

I opened it up. I had a feeling it was just the cable that was bad which is, fortunately, replaceable.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case. Testing with other cables didn’t change a thing.
I don’t see any smoke-freed components. I guess busting out a meter is next up but I’m leaning towards the STM32 is belly up for some reason.
Anyone have a shifter recommendation?

@amd Because space is tight on my rig, I'm looking for a dual-purpose H-pattern and sequential shifter. The Simagic DS-8X Shifter keeps coming up as great option, but I'm actually holding out for a slightly cheaper option, the PXN SF-SH. It's only been announced so far and isn't for sale yet in NA.
Good luck, keep up the updates!
