https://jonworth.eu/state-railways-whats-wrong-cers-perplexing-response-to-the-european-commissions-passenger-package/@jon Reading that, it sounds like the *substance* of the CER's arguments are "we don't want to change" and "we don't want to do any work", while the *quality* of the argument is "we are actually kind of bad at our jobs, including and especially the part that requires coherent thought".
I suspect I shouldn't expect combined rail/flight ticketing any time soon...

@wordshaper The ones with the right attitude, like DB and ÖBB, will offer rail-air solutions. The bad ones won't.
And yes, this is an extension of the "our trains are already full, why should we fix anything" argument. RUN MORE TRAINS THEN!

@jon If DB and ÖBB interface with SABRE for ticketing that would be amazing, especially if they manage automatic rebooking when flights or trains get cancelled or delayed.
Sadly for me I would need SCNF to interface with the airline ticketing system, but I guess I can watch other countries get this and count it as progress.

@wordshaper I am no specialist in rail-air, but there are DB ICEs that have Lufthansa flight numbers, and ÖBB Railjets that have Austrian ones.
