@mbt3d @metin and yet my Danish bank keeps sending me a paper letter every time I do a transfer to Sweden (cross boarder worker here). Truely a baffling situation.

@smilingdemon @mbt3d I'm sure it will take quite some time before all old systems have been changed to fully process digital mail only.

I do think it's a good development. I've been longing for purely digital mail since the mid-2000s, back when I still needed to send lots of printed invoices.

@metin @mbt3d I gotta disagree, for most things digital mail is preferable, especially business related stuff, but totally removing the option for private individuals to send a letter or card is rubbish (plus there will continue to be people who don't have full digital access and you are then cutting them off from society).

I do wish I could figure out how to tell my bank not to post this letter to me though.

@smilingdemon @metin Took me some time but I eventually convinced my UK one to stop sending statements by post, and here they still arrived.
Must be frustrating for many caught up in the change.

@mbt3d @retech @smilingdemon In the light of the political turmoil, I agree that snail mail and cash money should stay for at least a while to come. In a better world, I’d like to see much less trees being sacrificed to become paper for humans.
