Sometimes the world feels so bizarre to me. While brown people are being rounded up in the streets, the Superbowl halftime show was nearly entirely in Spanish, and full of queer icons, lead by a man who has very publicly come out against ICE. It's one of the most popular Superbowl Halftimes of all time.

My best self wants to believe that socially we have moved on, and we are watching a group of out of touch losers desperately holding on to power, in a world where they are slowly, but surely, becoming less and less relevant.

Of course, it's not that simple, hate and stupidity isn't that easy to eradicate, but it did make me feel a little positive to see the crowds go absolutely wild, while Conservative bullshitters tried to convince people that Kid Rock was a better option.

Anyway, that's what I'm thinking about today, what are you thinking about?

@RickiTarr people have been bringing up that we are now living in a "liminal" point in time and this example illustrates that perfectly.
