    To call a cat you can make little noises, meow, say their name or rub your fingers together.

    It doesn't work, but sometimes you'll do this at the same time as the cat moves over to you of it's own accord.

        @diffractie Just saw pass by a meme with like 8 cats all sitting down on a mock-starting gate of a race track saying something like "this is why you can't race cats"

        and... have they tried just crinkling a ham package from the finish line?

        The sound of kibble coming out of the mouth of an automatic feeder should also work.
