@babe My life has recently been genuinely transformed by buying a car. But I'm always very wary of the people here who can't or won't understand that not everyone has the same lives as themselves. Being out in the sticks, finally getting a car feels like being let out of jail.

I get this is not a huge car place, but I still get to enjoy things in my life even if they do not align with your personal perspective.

@babe Weird. I'd have thought your quest to fit indicators to a BMW would meet with universal approval.

@babe I enjoy owning a car. Expensive repairs are a bummer. End of "rant". 😀

@babe A) I’ve never understood the fuck cars people. They are the people who blast you for having a house.
2.) seeing comments like yours (not only yours) are the reason I’ve never bought a bmw and may never will

@64bithero it made me feel better about my driving tbh. If I fuck up people just assume I'm an asshole instead of incompetent

@babe If it's any consolation, I like cars. And strawberries. So I appreciated all aspects of that thread. 👍

@babe I have a hundred little rants I don't post from seeing people project their own perspective about cars onto other people's personal situations.

@babe as a fellow car enthusiast, I agree and wanted to express my support.

@babe I have NINE cars. I might get a second one running, soon.
Two need like... A ton of metalwork. Like an actual tonne. I have half of a car next to one that is missing a third of the metal.

@peterbrown I've had some great chats about a love of old bangers/previous cars people had. Generally it's just something people keep quiet about
