@Blender I did. Accepting money from a plagiarism-as-a-service company is still overwhelmingly disrespectful to artists. Your policies do not make this okay, Anthropic has no place in any community that even pretends to care about artists and creatives. Whoever approved this should still be fired.

@Blender Given the fact that Antropic and other LLM peddling companies are an existential threat to the human creative industries, programmers, and human life in general.
Accepting money from such a scummy corporation is an out of touch move!

I just want to adress points 1 & 2 here:
They have just too many sponsors to be dependant on a single one. Even if it's from the highest tier, as in this case. The money basically pays 2 full-time salaries.

Don't mess up @Blender Foundation. It's not a first time a big company is "offering" money to buy power on FOSS project. We live in a capitalist world, companies are never giving you money just to help, moreover at this level of funding.
