It has been a while since I added anything to my interactive #OpticalIllusion collection. But I want to get back to doing more regular #CreativeCoding exercises, and this one seemed like a good quick project for this #MonochromeMonday.

I found inspiration from this webpage of various anomalous motion illusions:
    https://www.psy.ritsumei.ac.jp/akitaoka/motion20e.html
There are lots of cool ones there, though prolonged observation may induce dizziness or motion sickness.

I made another illusion in the same vein, of the spine drift type. I tried a few different methods to construct it, starting with triangles that I cut away with shapes, then just using a triangle that can morph using a Bezier vertex. I was able to figure it out using the tool I made a couple of years ago. https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2181419

The illusion is pretty intense and I got a headache from working on it (again), but it's fun to play with for a short time at least.
