@drmaddkap I do love Buzz. One of the coolest VR experiences I ever had was getting to stand next to him as he was explaining the idea of "cycling pathways to Mars."

@drmaddkap one of the coolest things I ever got to do with my mom and dad years ago before my dad died was at an event that I was able to invite my parents to join me at (Iβm being a bit detail light because the event is mostly off the record)
At lunch one day we sat at a table with Buzz Aldrin. He was a fellow guest at the same event and we shared a lovely lunch with if memory serves him and the then ambassador to the US from Vietnam.

@drmaddkap If you ever get a chance, GO to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in DC. Absolutely Incredible. Besides the awesome collection of airplanes suspended above your head as you enter, they have Apollo, Mercury, and Soyuz spacecraft. Those early ones really were like tin cans.
