I am so happy that we are finally releasing this version. It's 7 months of work from the team and it contains a lot of improvements to Mastodon, including building blocks for even more ambitious things to come in the next version.
This is more than 1600 Pull Requests written and reviewed (by humans!)

Working on complex software (and Open Source) is a lot of work if you want to ship quality software, even more so for user-facing one, and we could not do this without a full team of talented full-time people.
I am very proud of what the team is doing even if every day brings a new challenge. We are able to several ambitious features in a version now, without compromises on the user experience, trust and safety or other aspects.
