    I decided to ditch #tiddlywiki and try #hugo and got it up and running quite quickly:

    I enjoy creating on tiddlywiki more, but the resulting site is heavy and possibly more confusing to the reader. Mastodon won't verify profile links larger than 1MB.

    It also provides RSS. Still lots to smooth out... but fun to play with in any case.

      @limebar

      You can externalise the TW core, making the resulting file small enough to be used for Mastodon verification.

          👆
          hugo *is* quite fiddly

          i think it is down to theme specifics or maybe understanding what is theme specific vs. hugo general

          i like this theme (m10c) but I do wish it had
          - a bit more navigation (like sideways)
          - summaries for sub-pages on section (bundle?) pages
          - a site-wide footer

          I am sure you can do all of this but it'll be fiddly to figure out

          trouble is, i'll figure something out once, not touch it for a year, and have to relearn it

          that is probs true of anything I'd use tho
