@nuclearplayer I've tried Nuclear before, never could get it to play anything. What's the "correct" way to install it on Arch? I tried AUR, I tried Flatpak (I think), I don't want to touch snaps if that's an option, I haven't built from source.

@nuclearplayer woah the latest AppImage is waaaaaaaay different to what I remember it looking like.
I am trying it out now. So far I've searched for a few things, found metadata but nothing is playing still.

@meatlotion Yeah I've rewritten it from scratch. It's a completely new program now.

@meatlotion Every distribution method should work the same. Try this package: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nuclear-player-bin
Nuclear comes with no plugind by default, so you should install metadata and streaming sources after installation: https://docs.nuclearplayer.com/nuclear/plugins/plugin-store

@nuclearplayer hmm I've tried the latest AppImage and the AUR recommendation, and still nothing is playing.
I've enabled the Youtube and spotify plugins so I get metadata from spotify and youtube is allegedly allowing streaming, but it just sits there doing nothing except the progress bar is animated. It isn't actually playing the music at all.
This is the same behaviour I experienced with previous versions too. I've never managed to get it to play a single song.
What am I doing wrong?

@meatlotion Can you go to preferences -> logs and filter by warnings and errors? There could be something useful there.

@nuclearplayer it's empty. This is using the AppImage version, the one from AUR has a horrible window decoration so I prever this one visually
