    Given that the search market is dominated by one company, a call for a new engine might be prudent. Yet, the bigger issue won't be building it. The problem will be to get people to change their habits and actually use it.

      @kdkorte There's absolutely no reason why India shouldn't have its own search engine, but Big Tech predators (and money) would soon follow. So how much digital independence would that be?
